The Arrival (1/2)
In the Summer 2008, apparently from nowhere, a book entitled "Him & Her's Smuggling Vacation" debuted on the UK comic scene.
An unusual looking book, likened in appearance to the old Asterix the Gaul books, it's content and storytelling were unlike anything Albert Uderzo might contemplate; a comedic tale of three "Brits abroad" who become drug smugglers.
The book's cover suggested that the book had began as a prison comic in Spain and carried endorsement quotes from many of the UK's leading underground artists such as Bryan Talbot and Hunt Emerson, as well as from the infamous ex-smuggler turned author Howard Marks. It also contained a credit for a "Crime Consultant", whatever that was!
Was this a true story? A fiction perhaps? Autobiographical maybe?
